(Refile with correct slug)    (ANSAmed) – ATHENS, NOVEMBER 1 – Greece’s Supreme Court of Audit ruled that austerity measures that include cut to pensions and an increase in the retirement age are unconstitutional, state-run Athens News Agency (ANA) reported on Thursday.     The measures, which must be approved by parliament, are the core of a possible agreement with the troika (EU-ECB-IMF).
The Court’s ruling, which is binding for the government, said that measures such as cutting pensions for the fifth time since 2010 and raising retirement age from 65 to 67, violate several articles of the Greek Constitution. (ANSAmed).
