Video footage from the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings appears to show dozens of people stealing merchandise that was meant for runners who finished the race.
In the video, people can be seen swarming cardboard boxes full of merchandise, swiping blue and yellow jackets.
Some people are seen stuffing multiple jackets into bags while others seem more selective, picking up a jacket – perhaps to check the sizing – and then swapping it out for another.

The boxes and the tent where they had been housed had apparently been abandoned in the aftermath of the twin bombings, which detonated near the finish line of the marathon Monday, killing three people and injuring more than 170.
YouTube and Reddit users have posted footage of the apparent looting online in an effort to publicize the faces of the people who may have swiped the merchandise.
‘There’s a special place in hell for people like that,’ wrote one user.
Others argued that perhaps they were bringing the jackets to help warm injured runners.

‘Yes, some people took advantage of it, what can you do, but it’s not looting what you see,’ the user wrote.
