Privacy Policy

_Last updated: 28 MAY 2026_

ClinicalNews.org (“we,” “us,” or “the Site”) is an educational publication that summarizes peer-reviewed medical and scientific research for a general audience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have. This page is for transparency about data practices only; nothing on the Site is medical advice.

## Who we are

The Site is operated by Ralph Turchiano (“the operator”). Our website address is https://clinicalnews.org. For privacy questions, contact us at customercare@alchepharma.com.

## Information we collect

**Information you give us.** When you leave a comment, fill out a contact form, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the information you provide — typically your name and email address, and any message content. Newsletter subscriptions are stored until you unsubscribe.

**Comments.** When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it.

**Automatically collected data.** Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider log standard technical information when you visit — IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps — for security and operational purposes.

**Cookies.** The Site uses cookies to remember your comment details, to keep you signed in if you have an account, and for the functions described below. You can set your browser to refuse cookies; some features may not work as a result.

## Embedded content and third-party services

Articles on the Site may include embedded content (for example, YouTube videos from our VHFILM channel, images, or documents). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with that content under their own privacy policies.

**Analytics.** We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect information such as your IP address, device type, and browsing behavior on the Site; this data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. You can opt out across sites using Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

**Our store.** Links to AlchePharma products direct you to a separate store hosted on Shopify. Any purchase, account, or payment information you enter there is collected and processed by that store and Shopify under their own privacy and payment policies — not by ClinicalNews.org. We never see or store your payment card details.

## How we use information

We use the information we collect to publish and moderate comments, send our newsletter to subscribers who request it, respond to inquiries, maintain the security and performance of the Site, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

## How long we retain information

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. For users who register (if accounts are enabled), we store the personal information in their profile. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to ask that we correct or erase it, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email customercare@alchepharma.com. If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data, including any data you have provided to us. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

## Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
