Beta Glucan

We review some of the claims and research in regard to yeast derived Beta Glucan protecting lab animals from lethal doses of radiation.

Beta Glucan appears to show incredible promise, ( at least in a lab setting ) in enhancing animal survival in extreme radiation events up to 11 gray. ( 3 gray normally is lethal to humans )

For further comparison these are in milliGray:
“The average radiation dose from an abdominal X-ray is 0.7 mGy, that from an abdominal CT scan is 8.0 mGy, that from a pelvic CT scan is 6 mGy, and that from a selective CT scan of the abdomen and the pelvis is 14 mGy.”

I have a strong affinity for the sciences which led me to create my sites. My compulsion for the past decade has been reviewing literally every peer-reviewed research article. Which can easily be validated by following my posts. To me, science is where the real news is, as it will mold our destiny beyond that of politics or economics. ;-)
