Dosage dependency of the statin–osteoporosis association in three frequently prescribed statins: A low dosage of simvastatin and rosuvastatin can be related to decreased osteoporosis risks, as indicated by the bars left of the cut-off line of 1. The probability for a diagnosis with osteoporosis clearly increases in all three statins with dosages of 40 milligrams and above.
